USS Hornet Aircraft Carrier (Alameda, Ca June 2009)
Alameda’s haunted aircraft carrier, the USS Hornet (CV-12) is the eighth ship to carry the Hornet name, and often called the most haunted ship in United States history. The Hornet was commissioned in 1943 at the height of WWII in the Pacific. She quickly became one of the most highly decorated ships in the Navy. She destroyed 1,410 Japanese aircraft and destroyed or damaged over 1,000,000 tons of enemy shipping. Ten Hornet pilots attained “Ace in a Day” status. She supported nearly every Pacific amphibious landing after March 1944 and struck the critical first hits in the sinking of the super battleship Yamato. Her pilots are also credited with the first strikes against Tokyo since the 1942 Doolittle Raid. During the cold war, the Hornet had the honor of recovering astronauts from both the Apollo 11 and 12 missions.
In her 22 years of active service, more than 300 people lost their lives aboard ship. The majority claimed during combat, others from shipboard accidents, and others from suicide. It has the dubious honor of having the highest suicide rate in the Navy.
Various members of California Paranormal Research have had the fortunate opportunity to investigate on the USS Hornet, including Mandy, Bud, Deborah, George and Chuck.
San Jose Residence (former Brothel in the 1920′s)
A fantastic house filled with antiques. This is a former brothel during the 1920′s. The occupants have experienced strange feelings, footsteps, and apparitions on the staircase and in one of the bedrooms. EVPs to come.
Round Room (2009) Grass Valley, Ca
In the late 1960′s, this was a seance and ritual spot of Dr. Anton LaVey’s, founder of the Church of Satan in San Francisco. He owned a house in this area and also this property. There is a large pentagram in the center of the cement floor, a burned-out campfire , and various graffiti. It is surrounded by quartz crystal deposits. Residents in the area have witnessed LaVey’s commune in white robes conducting sacrifices in the past. LaVey has since died (1997), and no longer does the Church of Satan use this area. The house and property still owned by the LaVey family. (Note: due to partyers and gang activity, neighbors watch this area constantly - no trespassing; will be prosecuted; permission must be given by owners) pics and possible EVP’s to come!

Brookdale Lodge
Investigation: Brookdale Lodge – May 17, 2008
California Paranormal Research was granted permission to conduct an investigation at the The Brookdale Inn & Spa on May 17, 2008 in Brookdale, California. Below are some samples of the evidence gathered from the investigation conducted that evening.
Personal Experience:
Bud & Deborah (Rm 4): Sat, early evening – Bud was laying on the bed and felt something rolling around his right calf. A pressure like two magnets pushing away from each other. Along with this was a cold spot. Bud lifted his head to see if his pant leg was moving but could not see anything. He called Deborah over and she felt the cold spot but could not see anything moving. Bud then felt it move in-between his calves, like a cat would to get comfortable or warm.
Sun, around 5AM – The exact same thing happened to her!
EVPs – Total 4:
Brook Room: The “Look at me” clip was from the 3rd level of the Brook Room in the corner (over the bridge). Sounds like a little girl. Possibly Sarah.
Patty Bud Brook Room – Look At Me
The Mermaid Room: “taps” were in the mermaid room. Bud and Patty were sitting in chairs facing the middle of the dance floor. Taps happened as response to questions. Sounds almost like a bouncing ball.
Cabin: Just as Patty and Bud walked into the cabin – whisper on recorder “Turn off the light” then twice you hear “Hey!”……..”Hey!” They did not hear this with their own ears. It did not show up on the camcorder which was sitting next to the digital voice recorder. It is possible that this came from an outside source.
Pictures
This picture is an example of how someone could perceive it as an orb. What actually happened is the person holding the camera moved his hand when the flash went off. This is not an orb.
